Hi, I am William Smith. Thank you for visiting my website!
Swimming like any sport attracts, enthuses and most of all is, in my opinion, one of the most fun ways to keep fit. It is more than a hobby, and once you get hooked, it’s a lifestyle.
Swimming can also be a way to earn extra income if you compete professionally. Phelps and many others are some of the best examples to illustrate not just the profitability of swimming but the addiction it ensues.
I’m not saying that you are unfit, I’m just giving you an option to breath better after a flight of stairs. Swimming builds endurance, creates muscular strength, gives you healthy lungs and heart.
In addition to those health benefits, you maintain a more doctor recommended weight as well as tones your muscles. We do not want a limp body.
Though swimming has come a long way, there are some misconceptions that I would love to deconstruct.
You can Lose Weight through Swimming Alone
Yes, swimming does help you lose weight but only with appetite control. The benefits of swimming when it comes to weight control are not an exaggeration, but it also increases appetite.
Thus, you might end up consuming more calories than you are burning. By and large, adjust your calorie intake to see results.
Swimming is Injury Free
Nothing could be further from the truth. Though the risks of injuring yourself are significantly reduced, injuries are quite common.
Shoulder injuries are quite prevalent, and they are a result of wrong stroke technique. Moreover, people happen to over-exert themselves straining their muscles.
You, Will, be Better with Bigger Paddles and Fins
There is a wide variety of swimming accessories currently in the market. These pieces of equipment do improve performance, but bigger is not always better.
Take, for example, swim fins; these are used by most swimmers, but some are misused due to lack of strong kick.
What Does Swim Network Provide?
